Welcome to Montavilla Motel

Montavilla Motel stands as a humble yet dependable lodging choice nestled in the heart of Portland’s vibrant southeast district. With a modest 3.2 rating, this mom-and-pop establishment at 320 SE 99th Ave offers travelers an affordable and straightforward stay without needless extravagance.

The motel’s charm lies in its blend of simplicity and genuine care. Guests often highlight the clean, freshly remodeled rooms that carry a welcoming scent, alongside the discreet yet attentive presence of the owners. This balance fosters a secure, unpretentious environment where visitors can relax without intrusive staff interference—a rare find in today’s hospitality scene.

While Montavilla Motel does not boast amenities such as a pool, restaurant, or fitness center, it makes up for it with complimentary Wi-Fi, free parking, and accessibility features that suit a diverse range of travelers. Its strategic location puts guests within easy reach of Portland’s sprawling districts teeming with artisanal breweries, eclectic dining options, and cultural attractions like OMSI and Mount Tabor Park.

The motel’s value resonates particularly with budget-conscious visitors or those seeking short to longer-term stays without breaking the bank. Though some note the absence of weekly rates as a drawback, the overall experience leans towards relaxed privacy and straightforward hospitality. It serves well as a base for exploration rather than a destination itself. The understated atmosphere, combined with the sincere, hands-off management, invites a feeling of being quietly welcomed amidst Portland’s lively urban landscape.

In essence, Montavilla Motel is not about luxury or flair—it is about dependable comfort and authenticity. For those who prioritize clean, secure lodgings close to the pulse of Portland’s cultural scene without unnecessary fuss, Montavilla offers a genuine, no-frills refuge.

Looking for a cheap place short or longer term. This is your spot. It's not fancy. But pretty clean and mngmt generally minds their own business. So, win win.

My wife and I have been staying here while visiting Portland for years. Cute little mom and pop older motel. I'm not sure, but think they have about 28 rooms. Inside, the rooms always look freshly remodeled and clean, they have always smelled nice, and the owners are always around keeping an open eye on everything and everyone giving you a very secure feeling. This place is very easy to find, a block from Mall 205. No morning coffee though, so I walk one block to Burger King to get mine.

Great motel for value location and a place you can go wherever staff/ owners will not bother you. It would have been 5 stars ( at least for my socioeconomic class) except they do not offer a weekly rate. $20 deposit $80 per night…yea a place where I went to cheat on my girlfriend at! Because I’m scum!
